About Course
Description
Leadership as a management function is very important in achieving organizational goals. Different leadership styles have been studied over the years with one common thing cutting across, that is, with traditional leadership, face-to-face communication takes place between the leader and followers.
In an era of digital transformation, organizations and businesses due to the forces of globalization, regional and international trade agreements, are becoming increasingly global and virtual. The disruptive nature of Information Technology and the Internet are pushing both public and private organizations to identify and design new business models and exploit key innovative opportunities.
As innovations in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) such as e-learning and e-commerce, are having positive transformational impact in education and commerce, e-leadership has emerged as the new leadership concept driving today’s global and virtual organizations. In times of change and disruption as the digital revolution continues to reshape industries, organisations and businesses are under enormous pressure to stay ahead of the competition by transforming their current crop of leaders to become e-leaders.
